Converting oak logs to oak planks

- cash to buy oak log or 15+ woodcutting to cut the logs
- Lightweight Equipment [boots of ligtness and spotted/spottier cape]
- 250gp per log you want to convert into oak plank ~ [That 751,000 to do 1k oak log]


Introduction:
to start, Oak logs are easily cut from oak trees, or bought for 41 coins each. If you are planning to chop oak logs [must have 15+ woddcutting + woodcutting axe]. The best place to cut is at Varrock near the BIG bank, as there are plenty of oak trees they and is easy to bank them as is fairly close to each other.




















After each load,simply deposit them and repeat until you get a decent amount of oak logs to convert into oak planks later on.

Lumberyard & Saw Mill:

The Saw Mill is found just noth-east of varrock.[ see picture below ] The sawmill operator charges 250 coins per log to make an oak plank. The planks give more profit than what you spend.






















Note/tips:

~You may find it easier by using the Balloon transport system that can be accessed by completing Enlightened Journey Quest.
Start off in Castle Wars, take a willow log and ring of duelling with you, and some money (more than 15,000 coins) and weight-reducing equipment (optional) and head north west of the arena to the icon with the Assistant nearby. Travel to Varrock, convert the planks, and travel back to Castle Wars using a ring of duelling.

~This can also be done with the other types of planks, such as teak, but this requires considerably more coins to start with as making the planks is much more expensive.

When You are done converting oa logs to oak planks go to Grand Exchange and sell the planks

[Cut 1000 logs = Free ]
[ Cost to buy 1000 logs = 27,000 ]
[ Cost to make into plank's = 250,000 ]
[ 1000 planks sold at grand exchange = 501,000 ]

~501,000 - 250,000 = 251,000 Profit ~
